Overview
Within the Collections and Academic Services Group, the Academic Liaison & Collection Development (ALCD) Team (currently 6.4 FTE) leads on the Library’s liaison activities and develops our teaching, learning and research collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate liaison with academic departments across the Library.
- Develop and promote library services in collaboration with colleagues, students, and the academic community.
- Develop and maintain the Library’s Collection Development Policy to support the School’s information resources needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in an academic library and in liaison work with academic departments.
- Experience building library collections, selecting material, and developing in‑depth knowledge of research collections.
- Degree‑level education or equivalent and a qualification in librarianship or information science.
