Berners Tavern restaurant at The London EDITION is looking for a talented and driven Head Chef to join our Kitchen Brigade.

Under the direction of celebrated Michelin starred Chef Jason Atherton, the award-winning Berners Tavern remains one of London's most talked about restaurants. Join our team and help create and deliver a contemporary British menu that is simple yet elegant, using the very best products in the British Isles.

As our newest Head Chef you will join an exciting and dynamic team where you will work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional food for Berners Tavern Restaurant. You will manage the kitchen and train chefs, you will help create new dishes, be an expert in all sections of the kitchen.

Our most successful Head Chef is someone who:

  • Has at least 5 years experience including a fine dining background in awarded restaurants or 5* hotel
  • Is talented and creative
  • Loves to work in a team and has great people skills
  • Wants to grow within an international brand
  • Wants to work in a place that makes you proud

As our Head Chef you will:

  • Exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks
  • Lead the staff and managing all food related functions
  • Work to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Be responsible for guiding and developing the restaurant chefs
  • Develop educational or training programs or classes, and teaches or instructs others
  • Maximize the financial performance
  • Supervise all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced
  • Ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved
  • Be responsible to oversee all food preparation and all support areas (e.g., dish room and purchasing)
  • Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
