The Role
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urological Oncology to join our expanding Cancer Care team. As one of two CNSs, you will act as a keyworker, providing expert support, education and advocacy for patients throughout diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. You will work closely with consultants, specialist nurses and allied health professionals, ensuring every patient receives individualised, evidence-based care.
Key Duties
- Act as clinical expert and first point of contact for patients with urological cancers
- Deliver specialist advice, education and emotional support to patients and families
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes
- Contribute to service development, research and quality improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a nurse who is committed to excellence in palliative care and confident in managing complex caseloads. You will bring:
- Substantial experience in oncology and palliative care
- At least one year in a CNS role within a palliative setting
- A postgraduate qualification (or working towards one) in palliative care
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A proactive, compassionate, and patient-centred approach
