Diagnostic Radiographer (Mammography) We have an exciting opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiographer (Mammography)-Band 7 equivalent to join our Imaging Department at the London Clinic based in 20 Devonshire Place. Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities located in the heart of London’s medical community around Harley Street. We cover a comprehensive range of services, including complex medical and surgical procedures plus a range of cancer services. This role is to assist in the provision of a breast imaging service, performing mammograms and further views, assisting with VAB (stereo and US), assisting with US procedures, chaperoning US patients, contrast -enhanced mammography. Skills and Experience The post holder will be a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer with an active Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration and a post graduate qualification in mammography. Patient centred care will be at the forefront of the post holder’s clinical and professional practice and they will demonstrate clinical skills that provide the highest standards possible. They must exercise adherence to patient confidentiality legislation and maintain information governance standards at all times. Proficient use of the department’s Radiology Information System (Soliton) and Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) will be demonstrated with each patient episode. The post holder will demonstrate a level of competency in line with The London Clinic’s competency framework and is responsible for maintaining their own personal development with support. They will be able to work autonomously and demonstrate the ability to prioritise their work in line with clinical need. They will be accountable for their own professional actions, operating within their scope of practice and will consult senior staff as and when is necessary. Often working as a part of the wider multidisciplinary team they will take into account the requirements of referring teams in the interests of patient care.
