The London Clinic is seeking a Production Technician / Pharmacy Technician to join our Aseptic Services Unit (ASU), based at 22 Devonshire Place. The successful candidate will be actively involved in day‑to‑day aseptic compounding, quality assurance activities, environmental monitoring, stock management, and the supervision of junior staff. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate production of cytotoxic and monoclonal therapies, supporting The London Clinic's commitment to exceptional patient care. This is a permanent, full‑time position working 37.5 hours onsite, offering a Band 4 salary. This is a pivotal role supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and high‑quality aseptic services in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Key Duties
- Supervise aseptic compounding activities and junior staff in the cleanroom environment
- Prepare and compound cytotoxic, hazardous and monoclonal products in line with GMP and SOPs
- Perform in‑process volume checks and final release of aseptically prepared products (as appropriate)
- Maintain aseptic equipment, isolators, and environmental monitoring processes
- Assist in quality improvement projects and report out‑of‑specification results
- Manage top‑up services, tray assembly and accurate documentation
- Participate in on‑call, weekend and bank holiday rotas for out‑of‑hours production
- Support training and supervision of new and junior staff
Skills and Experience
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician (or equivalent accreditation)
- Previous experience in an aseptic services unit or sterile compounding environment
- Strong understanding of GMP and SOPs in a healthcare or manufacturing setting
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Able to manage workload and prioritise tasks in a dynamic team
- Experience in supervising junior staff and supporting training is desirable
- Proficient in stock management systems and documentation processes
- Willingness to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays as required
