We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team, based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 6BW, Band 5 salary equivalent.
The Pharmacy department at The London Clinic comprises several areas working together to provide effective patient services and optimal outcomes.
The department includes 9 core services: On Call, Dispensary Services, Distribution and Top Up Service, Procurement, Clinical Ward Pharmacy Services, Provision of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Aseptic/Technical Services, Clinical Governance, and Education and Training.
We have extensive oncology services, including a dedicated chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite and an automated medication dispensing system supporting decentralized medicine management across wards.
Job Profile
As a Rotational Pharmacy Technician, you will participate in a safe, efficient, and accurate technician-led pharmacy service across all sites at The London Clinic. This is a rotational role involving Dispensary, Distribution, Procurement, and eventually Ward services.
The postholder will ensure services are delivered safely, effectively, economically, and promptly, adhering to current legislation and guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours/week.
Shifts: Monday to Sunday, 8.30am to 7.30pm, rostered.
Salary: Band 5 salary equivalent.

Key Duties:
- Provide a safe, efficient, and accurate dispensing service, including controlled drugs.
- Support and oversee workflow of dispensary staff, ensuring SOPs are followed.
- Manage daily medicinal product orders.
- Raise orders for consumables and TPN to suppliers and stores, especially in the absence of administrative staff.
- Assist senior pharmacy staff in delivering near-patient services to hospital wards.
Skills & Experience:
- NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 or equivalent, with accredited underpinning knowledge.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
- Experience in an acute hospital setting preferred.
