We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatients Department based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G, with a salary range on offer of £28,229 - £30,267 per annum. Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with state‑of‑the‑art facilities located on Harley Street. Our Consulting Rooms and Outpatients Centre provides a medical environment in which a wide range of out‑patient procedures are undertaken such as:

  • Minor Gynae procedures
  • Sterile dressings
  • Removal of stitches and clips
  • Wound swabs
  • Joint Injections
  • Rigid sigmoidoscopies
  • Photodynamic therapy to pre‑cancerous skin lesions

As a Healthcare Assistant you will support with overall day to day operation of the clinical & consulting outpatient’s rooms in multiple buildings ensuring overall care and safety to the patient, visitors and staff.

This is a full time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. We operate a mixed shift pattern - Earlies / Lates.

Key Duties:

  • Support the nursing team to deliver high quality patient centred care.
  • Act as a chaperone during patient examinations and assist Consultants of different specialities with specified procedures that may be performed in the outpatient setting, charging and writing notes for these on the Clinic computer system.
  • Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients, recognising their individuality, and promoting privacy and dignity at all times.
  • To assist in the smooth running of a variety of specified Consultant clinics working alongside reception and clinical staff or at times autonomously including ENT / Gynaecology / Dermatology.
  • Preparing clinical rooms for procedures and assisting staff with administrative and clinical duties.

Skills & Experience:

  • NVQ in Care Level 3 / 4 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in an outpatient area within a hospital.
  • To have orthopaedic, gynaecology, ENT, Dermatology background.
  • To hold a Care certificate or be working towards this.
  • Experience with Meditech would be greatly beneficial.
  • IT skills.
