This is an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Scrub Practitioner who enjoys working in a fast‑paced surgical setting and wants exposure to a varied and advanced caseload. You will work alongside highly experienced theatre teams and leading consultants, supporting patients through a wide range of procedures across both inpatient and day surgery services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surgical instruments, consumables, and equipment ahead of procedures.
  • Scrub and assist during surgery while maintaining a safe sterile environment.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and support the smooth running of theatre lists.
  • Maintain high standards of infection prevention and perioperative practice.
  • Accurately complete theatre documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in WHO safety checks and clinical governance activities.
  • Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery teams, and wider multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Support junior team members, students, and new starters within the department.
  • Contribute to service improvement and a positive team culture across theatres.
