This is an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Scrub Practitioner who enjoys working in a fast‑paced surgical setting and wants exposure to a varied and advanced caseload. You will work alongside highly experienced theatre teams and leading consultants, supporting patients through a wide range of procedures across both inpatient and day surgery services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical instruments, consumables, and equipment ahead of procedures.
- Scrub and assist during surgery while maintaining a safe sterile environment.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and support the smooth running of theatre lists.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention and perioperative practice.
- Accurately complete theatre documentation and patient records.
- Participate in WHO safety checks and clinical governance activities.
- Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery teams, and wider multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Support junior team members, students, and new starters within the department.
- Contribute to service improvement and a positive team culture across theatres.
