The role involves overseeing the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring outstanding balances are collected in line with agreed terms, monitoring aged debt, resolving billing queries and producing reports to support performance. Key Duties:
- Manage and maintain accounts
- Ensure timely collection of payments from patients, insurers and any 3rd party
- Monitor aged debt and follow up on outstanding balances in line with agreed terms
- Resolve and investigate billing queries
- Handle sensitive financial discussions with patients in a professional and empathetic manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare regular reporting on debtor performance and collection activity
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities for process improvements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing procedures, insurance processes and relevant regulations
- Apply strong analytical, organisation and communication skills in day-to-day tasks
