The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of oncology and haematology pharmacy practice. You'll provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey while contributing to service development and innovation. You will also take part in our on-call service, helping ensure the safe and timely provision of medicines outside of standard hours.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across oncology and haematology wards
  • Clinically screen and final check chemotherapy prescriptions
  • Provide expert medicines advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Support medicines optimisation on admission and discharge
  • Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes
  • Participate in dispensary services, including prescription validation and final checking
  • Support education and training of colleagues and junior staff
  • Contribute to aseptic services, including chemotherapy production and GMP processes

About You

We're looking for a pharmacist who is committed, collaborative, and eager to develop within a specialist cancer setting.

  • GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • Post-registration experience in a UK hospital setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a patient-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

  • Experience in Oncology/Haematology and aseptic services
  • Exposure to stem cell transplant or advanced therapies
