We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse with breast experience (Band 5 equivalent) to join our Breast Team here at The London Clinic, providing a high quality outpatient service in our Breast Clinic. Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities located in the heart of London’s medical community around Harley Street. We have circa 1350 employees, and we are dedicated to providing our patients with expert, individualised treatment and care. We cover a comprehensive range of services, including complex medical and surgical procedures plus a range of cancer services.

Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Salary: The salary range for this role is £34,714 - £44,458 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting and shift enhancements), depending on skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities: The post holder will facilitate the provision of a co-ordinated, high quality outpatient service in consultation with the breast team. Responsibilities will include:

  • To coordinate smooth running of breast clinics on a daily basis
  • To work clinically and to adhere to the NMC Code.
  • Ensuring that the department is efficiently and effectively managed at all times.
  • Working with both senior and junior staff in co-ordinating and delivering quality standards of nursing care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Consultants and key stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality, evidence-based care.

Skills & Experience: NMC registered nurse with some post registration experience. Demonstrable experience within an OPD setting. Experience in surgical wound management. Some experience in surgical breast patients. Desirable to have course in wound management and 4-layer bandaging.
