Pensions Manager - Salary - Grade 10 (59,511 to 63,966pa) Purpose of the RoleTo effectively manage Pension Fund finance policies, strategies activities and service improvements required to update and deliver the approved business plans, production of the Pension fund accounts and provision of other financial services and advice in line with corporate requirements. To create effective relationships with the Pension Fund Committee, Pension Fund Board, actuary, advisers, custodian and managers and to update and deliver pension fund financial strategies, policies, contracts in accordance with prevailing regulation and council policy.To participate fully in the London CIV (London Councils) to increase investment opportunities and returns whilst minimising costs.Reference to pensions in this document relates specifically to the Local Government and Pensions Scheme (LGPS). The post-holder has Financial responsibility for finance activity as it relates to the LGPS and supervise production of PF accounts and Annual report in line with regulation and Council policy. Manage related budgets and provide budget information as required. The post holder must have extensive Local Government Finance experience in the production of financial accounts.
