Overview

In this role, you will lead the borough-wide Preparation for Adulthood strategy within Havering’s SEND and Alternative Provision Service.

You will work with schools, post-16 providers, employers and partner agencies to improve education, employment and independent living outcomes for young people with SEND.

You will champion Pf A principles across education pathways, EHCP processes and multi-agency practice, shaping system change and workforce development.

This is a collaborative, impact-focused leadership role with a clear mandate to drive meaningful transitions.

  • Lead development and implementation of a borough-wide Pf A strategy
  • Strengthen quality of annual reviews, person-centred planning and transition pathways
  • Build workforce capacity through training and professional development
  • Collaborate with schools, post-16 providers, employers and partner agencies to improve outcomes
  • Embed Pf A outcomes within EHCPs and QA processes
  • Develop information, resources and guidance for families, young people and professionals
