In Havering’s Educational Psychology Service, you help shape early intervention and capacity-building in schools within a multi-professional, child-centred framework. You will contribute to SEND reforms and a broad range of projects, including collaboration with services like the Virtual School and Youth Justice Service. The role offers protected CPD time, supervision, and opportunities to influence policy, training, and service delivery. Responsibilities

  • Provide early intervention in linked schools and settings
  • Contribute to a reduced EHCP allocation by targeted work
  • Engage in projects and secondments across services (e.g., Virtual School, Youth Justice Service, Housing)
  • Support design and delivery of a wide SEND Training Offer
  • Offer training, consultation, and organisational change support in schools
  • Participate in supervision, peer supervision, and leadership development
  • Contribute to policy work and development of service provision
  • Work across Mainstream, Special Schools and SEND Units
  • Utilise flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Ensure safeguarding through enhanced DBS check and confidentiality

Key requirements

  • Qualified Educational Psychologist or Trainee Educational Psychologist in final year of training
  • Enhanced DBS check
