We're looking for a Transport Operations Administrator to join our expanding team in Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a well-established logistics business where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside an experienced operations team, helping to ensure deliveries run smoothly while providing first-class support to customers and drivers.

The Role

As a Transport Operations Administrator, you'll play a key part in supporting the day-to-day transport operation by:

  • Managing transport bookings and maintaining accurate job records
  • Speaking with customers to process bookings, provide updates, and answer enquiries
  • Supporting the planning and scheduling of vehicles and drivers
  • Preparing, checking, and maintaining transport and compliance documentation, including PODs and driver paperwork
  • Liaising with drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to keep operations running efficiently
  • Providing general administrative support to the Transport team
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced within an administration, transport, or logistics environment
  • Confident communicating with customers over the phone and via email
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Computer literate with good IT skills
  • Flexible to work between our operating hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm on a rotating shift pattern

Desirable

  • Experience using transport or warehouse management systems
  • Knowledge of transport compliance and logistics documentation

Working Hours

During your first 6-8 weeks, you'll work 08:30-17:00 while completing your training.

Following this, you'll move onto a 3-week rotating shift pattern:

  • 07:00-16:00
  • 08:00-17:00
  • 09:00-18:00
