We’re looking for an experienced Import Operator to join the busy Felixstowe office — where no two days are the same (and the coffee disappears fast).
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Import Operator, you’ll keep cargo moving smoothly across the globe while juggling paperwork like a logistics ninja. Your Daily Cargo Mission:
- Load and manage import jobs
- Liaise with customers, hauliers & carriers
- Handle Bills of Lading & shipping documentation
- Process invoices and job administration
- Work with INCO Terms like a pro
- Use systems including Destin8, CNS, Excel & Teams
- Keep shipments on track and customers happy
- Support the operations team with day-to-day logistics tasks
No customs clearance knowledge needed — they won’t throw you into the deep end without a life jacket.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or operations
- Knowledge of Bills of Lading & shipping documents
- Understanding of INCO Terms
- Experience using Destin8, CNS, Excel & Teams
- Strong communication skills with customers and transport partners
- Ability to stay calm when the inbox explodes at 4:55pm
