A leading global logistics provider based in Felixstowe are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their small but friendly team.
About the Role:
We\’re looking for a reliable and experienced Freight Forwarder who has hands-on experience with both sea and road transportation, along with a solid understanding of customs processes. If you\’re detail-oriented, great at problem-solving, and love keeping shipments running smoothly, this could be the perfect fit for you.
What Youll Do:
Freight Coordination:
Book and track shipments by sea and road, working with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Handle all the paperwork, including bills of lading, invoices, and insurance.
Customs Clearance:
Manage the customs clearance process, making sure shipments meet all regulations.
Stay up to date with changing laws, tariffs, and duties to ensure smooth operations.
Customer Support:
Keep clients in the loop about their shipments and provide advice on customs procedures, taxes, and any potential delays.
Work closely with our internal teams to ensure everything runs like clockwork.
Problem-Solving:
Tackle any issues that arisewhether it\’s a shipping delay, customs complication, or document hiccupand find a solution fast.
Record Keeping:
Keep everything organized and up to date, from shipping documents to compliance records.
What Were Looking For:
Experience: 3-4 years in freight forwarding, especially with sea and road shipments and customs.
Skills: Knowledge of international shipping rules, customs processes, and logistics software (e.g., Cargowise, CDS, Seqouia).
Personality: Strong communicator, problem solver, and team player. Ability to juggle tasks and manage deadlines.
