Children’s Home Services Cleaner
Hours
Full time – 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:30 across 5 days a week (1 in 3 weekends).
Salary
£24,784.50 – £26,130.00 per year (or £12.71 – £13.40 per hour).

What will the role entail?
- Work as part of a team to maintain the children’s living environment and communal areas, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Empty waste bins, including clinical waste, ensuring safe and correct disposal.
- Perform laundry and wash‑up duties.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and colleagues.
- Attend mandatory and recommended training courses to support personal development.
Essential qualifications and attributes
The ideal candidate is passionate about providing a high standard of cleanliness, has a proactive approach and a can‑do attitude.
As the role is within the children’s home and living space, you will need patience, understanding, and a commitment to promoting the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
Previous experience is not essential; you will shadow an experienced team member and receive induction training during your first four weeks.
Prerequisites
All applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK and have at least 12 months on their Visa.
Successful applicants will undertake an enhanced DBS check and pre‑employment checks following Safer Recruitment.
