The predicted salary is between 31500 - 32500 £ per year.

Salary: NJC Scale SO1 (£37,575 to £38,769 per annum) – pro rata for part‐year working.

Hours: Full‐time.

Year round: No – 39 weeks per year (during school terms).

Permanent: Yes.

To start: Spring Term 2026.

We are looking for a Finance and Administration Officer to work primarily at The Livity School, one of two schools in the Elm Court Livity Federation. This post will be vacant from the beginning of January 2026.

Elm Court and The Livity Schools are special schools located within the borough of Lambeth. At Elm Court there are places for 150 secondary‐aged pupils who have learning difficulties with associated social and communication needs. At The Livity School there are 135 primary‐aged pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex medical needs. Both schools have increased numbers on roll considerably in recent years, and there is high demand for places at both schools. It is an exciting time for both schools with planned works to improve and extend the provision on both sites.

Purpose of Role:

The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the day‐to‐day financial management of the school's budget to meet best value and deliver financial services to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

To be responsible for purchasing, invoicing, maintaining accounts payable, cash flow and preparing financial monitoring reports. The finance officer must work within the school's and the LA's financial regulations.

Under the guidance of the Federation Head of Operations and Strategy, prepare the draft annual and 3‐year budget, annually, for Executive Headteacher and Governing Body authorisation.

To be responsible to the Operations and Strategy Manager, Executive Headteacher and Governing Body for the effective conduct and management of the finance and facilities.

To carry out all operational and administrative finance‐related work, across one of the schools in the Federation as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
