Our client is an established and growing organisation based in Cambridge, currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and collaborative environment, supporting the accurate and timely dispatch of customer orders.
Working with small and lightweight items (no heavy lifting involved).
This role would suit someone who is reliable, proactive, and takes pride in accuracy and getting the job done.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical.
- Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will be responsible for:
- Packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Unpacking, checking, and storing incoming deliveries.
- Preparing courier documentation and shipment manifests.
- Supporting stock control activities, including regular stock checks.
- Reporting discrepancies and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitoring and recording storage conditions such as fridge/freezer temperatures.
- Supporting general warehouse operations and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
- Working closely with customer service and other internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Key skills and experience include
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking/packing, or similar role (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- A flexible and hands-on approach to work
- Willingness to learn and support different areas of the business
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Benefits include
- 22 days’ holiday, plus a Christmas shutdown (extra 3 days). You’ll also receive 1 additional loyalty day per year (up to 10), with the option to sell back up to 5 days annually.
