The Role
An experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Field Installation/Service Engineer is required to join a well-established UK Service Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining market-leading nurse call systems across residential care homes, NHS and private hospitals within a designated region. This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone with strong technical capability and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission nurse call systems at customer sites.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Diagnose, repair and test systems during working hours and on a call-out basis.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota, providing remote and on-site assistance when required.
- Travel to customer sites and work evenings or weekends as necessary.
- Adhere to health & safety requirements and service level agreements.
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar field-based technical engineering role.
- A strong technical aptitude with a good understanding of electrical installations.
- Excellent customer service skills, with empathy, patience, and confidence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The ability to work methodically under pressure and respond effectively to critical situations.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload independently.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Competence using Microsoft applications.
- A full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.
If you are home-based in NW London or the NW home counties that would be an ideal location. Experience with call systems is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, typically 08:30 – 16:30. Hours may vary depending on call-out rota arrangements.
