We are looking for an experienced and professional Receptionist, preferably from a Hotel background who understands that the reception desk is often the first and last impression of our business. This is a full-time role working a variety of shifts across a 7-day operation, including regular weekend work.
Typical shift patterns:
- 6:00am to 2:00pm (Breakfast Service & Guest Check-Out)
- 2:00pm to 10:00pm (Guest Check-In & Evening Reception)
As a busy hotel, restaurant and events venue, this role is far more than simply checking guests in and out. We are looking for someone who is willing to roll their sleeves up, get involved, and play an active part in creating exceptional guest experiences throughout their shift.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous hotel reception experience within a busy hospitality environment.
- Experience using a Hotel Property Management System (PMS), preferably Rezlynx.
- Experience using EPOS systems and processing guest payments.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional grammar, spelling and punctuation, with the ability to produce professional guest correspondence that reflects our premium brand.
- Experience handling reservations, guest enquiries and telephone bookings.
- Confident managing payments, deposits and guest accounts accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently whilst remaining a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Taking hotel reservations via telephone, email and online channels.
- Responding promptly and professionally to guest enquiries.
- Processing payments, deposits and guest accounts.
- Sending booking confirmations and pre-arrival communications.
- Managing guest requests and resolving issues in a professional and proactive manner.
- Maintaining accurate reservation and guest information within Rezlynx.
- Supporting the wider business to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Assisting with breakfast service during morning shifts, including serving guests and providing exceptional hospitality standards.
- Working closely with restaurant, bar and events teams to ensure seamless guest journeys throughout the hotel.
