SEN Teaching Assistant

This is a fixed term appointment linked to EHCP funding for specific support for a pupil with complex educational needs. You will provide in class support including tailored interventions and we are looking to appoint an individual with a sensitive and nurturing approach. The successful applicant will need to be flexible, communicate effectively and think creatively. We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children's needs, who is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively. You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed. It would be beneficial to have experience of working with children with complex needs. Ideally, you will:

• Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
• Have good English and Maths skills;
• Have high expectations of children's behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries;
• Be willing to work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour;
• Be able to use your own initiative when required;
• Have experience in a similar role in a school;
• Have prior knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs Part time - 19hrs per week over 4 days paid at NJC Grade C, £13.92ph, Salary Sacrifice offers, including Bike2Work, Tech Scheme and Gym Membership
