We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Fully Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a variety of primary schools on a supply or contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience, work with different school communities, and have flexibility in your working schedule.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Adapt to different classroom environments and year groups as required.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Support pupils with mental, social and physical difficulties.
- Adapt learning styles for individual pupils.
- Organise outside activities for learning purposes.
- Work closely with other professionals like educational psychologists or physiotherapists.
- Good verbal and numerical skills are important.
Key Requirements
- Fully Qualified SEN essential.
- Previous experience within UK primary schools.
- Flexibility to work at short notice across different schools.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
Advanced Requirements (salary bracket)
- Advanced Experience: Extensive experience of student success.
- Leadership or Coordinator Roles: Experience with subject lead, department coordinator, or involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Professional Development: Continued professional development (CPD) including advanced training or certifications that enhance teaching practice.
