Link3 Recruitment is recruiting a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Nottingham (NG8). This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in young learners\’ lives and support their academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 1, helping to deliver engaging and high-quality learning experiences.
- Support literacy development, particularly through phonics instruction, and help children reach their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a KS1 setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience with phonics programmes (e.g., Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics, or similar).
- Ability to support the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons.
- Excellent communication skills with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Right to Work: All candidates must demonstrate a valid Right to Work in the UK as part of safeguarding and compliance checks.
- DBS: All applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one prior to starting work.
