We are looking for an experienced StudentSupport Mentor to promote positive behaviour across the school. You will guidestudents and staff, ensuring that a calm and respectful environment isfostered, helping to maximise the potential of every pupil.
Key Responsibilities:
- To promote and provide support for all studentsat The Link School as required.
- To support and work with staff, parents andother agencies to support all students as required.
- To work with students, staff, parents and otheragencies form other educational settings as part of The Link School’s outreach& support offer
- The Student Support Mentor will be responsible forthe supporting the smooth day to day running of the school, includingsupervising students who are not attending their normal lessons for a varietyof reasons and being a visible presence around the school to support a positivelearning environment.
Key Requirements:
- General level of education: GCSE
- Understanding/Knowledge of Children withSpecial Education Needs
- Ability to adapt activities to learnerschanging motivation and interest levels
- Understanding of safeguarding practicewithin a school environment
- Observe pupil learning behaviour and reportobservations to the teacher
