Lime Tree Nursery is a family-run business with eight nurseries across Rotherham, Barnsley, and North Notts, providing care for children from birth to five years. We create a home-from-home environment, fostering curiosity and child-led learning using The Curiosity Approach. With fully qualified Early Years Practitioners, children explore and learn through play, using natural and open-ended resources instead of conventional toys to inspire creativity and problem-solving. We encourage children to think independently, nurture their enthusiasm for learning and prepare them for school and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to deliver a child-led curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Observe, assess, and support children's development using various teaching strategies.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and caregivers to support children's learning.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, always ensuring children's welfare.
- Be an active participant in staff meetings, training, and community engagement events.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Early Years is essential.
- Strong understanding of EYFS welfare, learning, and development requirements.
- Experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive, flexible, and child-centered approach to learning.
