You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Working hours: 22.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 09:00am & 3:00pm - 6:00pm
We are looking for an organised childcare practitioner who can provide a range of play-based activities for children aged 3 to 11 years old in our breakfast and afterschool club.
Accountabilities:- Ensuring that the programme of activities delivered is interesting, valuable and appropriate to the children using the facilities by providing a variety of play and learning opportunities and identifying and accommodating changing needs.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of club users through checking equipment, undertaking first line child protection measures and organising activities appropriate to the users at any given time.
- Ensuring that parents, carers and other visitors are made to feel welcome on visiting the play facility and that they receive appropriate information and advice.
- Maximising the learning value of the activities by planning and evaluating activities.
- Contributing through assisting if required, in the maintenance of agreed records including registers, contracts, doctors, accident books, financial transactions etc.
- Contribute in preparing and serving food when necessary.
- Ensuring all Health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- To be fully aware of all the club’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out.
- To arrive to work at least 10 minutes before duties start.
We offer an employer pension contribution scheme and a pro-rata annual leave entitlement of 28 days (full time) plus bank holidays, in addition to company incentives.
