Technical Designer

We're Hiring: Roofing & Cladding System Technical Designer

We’re on the lookout for a Technical Designer/Design Manager/Senior Designer to join a leading family-owned business near Reading , working on high-spec metal roofing and cladding systems .

Key Responsibilities

• Design & detail rainscreen, twin-skin, and bespoke metal roofing/cladding systems
• Produce accurate fabrication drawings for production
• Provide technical support to clients, answering queries and adapting systems to project needs
• Maintain system detail libraries and ensure compliance with industry standards

✅ What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in metal roofing/cladding design (less for exceptional candidates)
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD ; thermal/acoustic modelling knowledge is a bonus
• Strong grasp of aluminium and steel detailing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
