Our client is a specialist provider of external façade solutions, delivering high-performance architectural envelopes for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate tender quotations and bills for external façade projects. You will work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to ensure cost-effective solutions, alignment with project specifications, and the timely delivery of bids. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the company’s financial targets and operational efficiency during the pre-construction phase.

  • Source and validate cost data for raw materials, subcontracted services, and bought-in items.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
  • Risk Management & Value Engineering
  • Identify potential cost risks and contribute value engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all tenders meet commercial and project delivery goals.
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Contracts team to flag and address risks early in the process.
  • Assist in compiling handover documents and compliance data once contracts are secured.
  • Support the transition from tendering to project execution by working closely with delivery teams.
  • Participate in internal meetings with estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams.
  • Offer support and mentorship to junior team members and trainees.
  • Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and quality expectations.

Training & Development

  • Attend relevant training sessions and industry events.
  • Basic understanding of glass, aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Bluebeam, Schucal (or similar systems), and basic AutoCAD.
