As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate tender quotations and bills for external façade projects. You will work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to ensure cost-effective solutions, alignment with project specifications, and the timely delivery of bids. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the company’s financial targets and operational efficiency during the pre-construction phase.
- Source and validate cost data for raw materials, subcontracted services, and bought-in items.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
- Risk Management & Value Engineering
- Identify potential cost risks and contribute value engineering solutions.
- Ensure all tenders meet commercial and project delivery goals.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Contracts team to flag and address risks early in the process.
- Assist in compiling handover documents and compliance data once contracts are secured.
- Support the transition from tendering to project execution by working closely with delivery teams.
- Participate in internal meetings with estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams.
- Offer support and mentorship to junior team members and trainees.
- Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and quality expectations.
Training & Development
- Attend relevant training sessions and industry events.
- Basic understanding of glass, aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Bluebeam, Schucal (or similar systems), and basic AutoCAD.
