The Sales Manager for Reclads and Remediation Façade Projects is responsible for identifying, developing, securing and managing sales opportunities within the façade remediation, recladding, fire safety upgrade, defect rectification and building envelope refurbishment sectors. The role is focused on building a strong pipeline of profitable remediation projects, particularly where existing façade systems require replacement, upgrade or improvement due to fire compliance, water ingress, technical defects, insurance requirements, Building Safety Act obligations, warranty failures, or end-of-life performance issues.
Core responsibilities include:
- Building a pipeline of remediation opportunities (residential, commercial, high-rise, etc.).
- Managing relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, fire engineers, and asset owners.
- Qualifying opportunities early (budget, scope, risk, client quality).
- Supporting bid strategy and tender processes (not directly estimating).
- Ensuring clean handover to delivery teams post-award.
- Maintaining CRM/reporting discipline.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience in façade sales, recladding, remediation, construction sales, specialist subcontracting, or building envelope works.
- Proven ability to develop client relationships and generate project opportunities.
- Experience working with main contractors, developers, consultants, or asset owners.
- Understanding of tendering and construction procurement.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and project reports at a sales level.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline or CRM system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience:
- Specific experience in façade remediation or recladding projects.
- Knowledge of rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing, and fire remediation.
- Understanding of the Building Safety Act and façade fire safety market.
- Experience with PCSA, negotiated work, or two-stage tendering.
- Experience working on occupied residential buildings or live environments.
- Existing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and subcontract risk.
Qualifications:
- Strong construction or façade industry experience (no specific degree required).
- Degree/diploma in construction, façade engineering, quantity surveying, or related field; sales or commercial management training; CSCS card; fire safety or building safety training.
