The Sales Manager for Traditional Façades Projects is responsible for identifying, developing, securing and managing sales opportunities within the glazing, curtain walling, window, door, unitised curtain walling, rainscreen cladding and wider building envelope sectors. The role is focused on building a strong pipeline of profitable façade projects, particularly where the package includes aluminium windows and doors, stick curtain walling, unitised curtain walling, glazed screens, entrance screens, rainscreen cladding, architectural metalwork and associated façade interfaces.

Core focus:

  • Build a strong pipeline of traditional façade opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with main contractors, developers, architects, and façade consultants.
  • Engage early, before competitive tender.
  • Assess technical/commercial risks and recommend bid/no-bid.
  • Support bids, negotiations, and client interviews.
  • Ensure a clean handover to pre-construction/operations.

Key skills required:

  • Façade industry knowledge (aluminium systems, curtain walling, rainscreen, etc.).
  • Commercial awareness + risk management.
  • Relationship-building and pipeline management.
  • Ability to work closely with estimating, design, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify traditional façade opportunities early.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (developers, main contractors, consultants).
  • Lead or support bid strategy, tender launch, client negotiations, and interviews.
  • Ensure structured handover to pre-construction and delivery teams.
  • Protect the business from unsuitable, high-risk, or poorly defined projects.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Specific experience in traditional façades (windows, doors, unitised, rainscreen).
  • Knowledge of proprietary glazing/curtain walling systems.
  • Experience with PCSA, negotiated work, or two-stage tendering.
  • Existing relationships with developers, main contractors, or façade consultants.
  • Degree/diploma in construction, façade engineering, quantity surveying, or related field.
