We are seeking a Design Co-ordinator to join our expanding team at the Lift Interior Company. This role will require hands-on experience in design, AutoCAD, and project coordination.
About us: The Lift Interior Company was formed in 2006 to offer a dedicated, bespoke and reliable service to the lift industry. We offer an extensive service covering all aspects of lift finishes from customer concept, design, material procurement, fabrication, installation and final handover. We have been lucky enough to create wonderful finishes in numerous locations. Some well-known sites we have worked on are; The Olympic Village, Westfield Shopping Centre, Sony Offices, Tottenham Hotspur Training Ground, The Shard and The Old War Offices.
Within the Design Co-ordinator position, you will:
- Use your knowledge of AutoCAD to create architectural drawings of lift interiors and associated exterior lift landing finishes.
- Use your knowledge of AutoCAD to create detailed manufacturing drawings to be used by our in-house manufacturing team.
- Use AutoCAD & Amada software to create drawings for our in-house Amada laser cutter.
- Work alongside the manufacturing/installations manager to create project schedules.
- Develop an understanding of the project planning and processes used at The Lift Interior Company.
- Partake and lead schedule reviews with design, manufacturing and installation departments.
- Monitor and progress projects through regular updates, communicating at all stages to internal departments and external customers/project managers.
- Attend online and face-to-face meetings with builders, architects, project managers and customers throughout.
- Be able to plan a project within the specified timeframe and within budget.
Key skills we require for this role:
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong IT proficiency.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills combined with good attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Proactive and eager to learn.
Desirable skills:
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Office (predominantly Excel).
- Experience with AutoCAD Fusion software.
- Experience with an Amada Laser Cutter software.
Starting salary is £35,000 per annum. Company Benefits include:
- Company Pension
- 20 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays - increasing with length of service (Inclusive of a Christmas Shutdown)
- Overtime available
PLEASE NOTE: This is an in-person role based in our Paddock Wood office. Applicants must be able to commute or relocate to Tonbridge, TN12 6BE before starting work.
