The Levels School is an Independent Specialist Day School offering high quality education and exemplary pastoral care to students with a range of complex, specific learning differences that may include speech, language, and communication needs. An opportunity has arisen for a Geography teacher full-time from April 2026/September 2026. We are interested in appointing the right person to complement our staff team and will adapt the role to fit the strengths of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Geography Curriculum for KS3 and KS4, including the pastoral and academic welfare of students.
- Work under the direction of the Lead for Humanities and English and the Headteacher and alongside the SENDCo in delivering the curriculum and providing pastoral support.
- Be experienced across KS3 and KS4 with day-to-day responsibility for Geography.
- Contribute to potential increased responsibility for the right candidate.
- Demonstrate a range of multi-sensory teaching techniques and be prepared to support students with SEND to achieve their maximum potential.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
- Substantial experience teaching KS3 and KS4, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level.
- Knowledge of SEND, specifically SpLD.
- Knowledge of current education issues in relation to practice, process and curriculum.
- Ability to work as an integral member of a team that puts students’ learning and wellbeing at the centre.
- Experience in working within a SEN setting or with predominantly SEN pupils.
