The Levels School is an independent specialist day school offering high quality education and exemplary pastoral care to students with a range of complex, specific learning differences that may include speech, language, and communication needs. Our teaching and learning provision would also meet the needs of individuals presenting with a similar learning profile to those with dyslexia and other Speech and Language Communication difficulties. As a result, many of our students have a range of complex, specific learning, social communication and emotional difficulties.

We are seeking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic Driver to work in our thriving co-educational independent specialist day school providing home-school transport to our Etonhurst site. We have positions available for am or pm drivers. We would also accept applications from candidates looking for both morning and afternoon as well as bank drivers who will be called upon to cover driver absence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Transport our students from designated pickup points to the school in the morning and return them at the end of the school day, and keep our buses/cars in a suitably presentable condition at all times.
  • On occasions, transport students and staff for sports events, educational trips, or other events; additional payments will be made for these services.
  • Work well with others as part of The Levels School team to assist a seamless operation of transport needs, while also being confident in working unsupervised when required.
  • Have a good knowledge of the local area and be able to assist with alternate routes (route learning will be provided) when required.

Working hours: 2 - 3 hours in the morning, 2 - 3 hours in the afternoon.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Full Category B Driving Licence (Any candidates with 6 or more penalty points will not be considered)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Full Cat D1 driver licence
  • Current Driver CPC & Digital Driver Card
  • Knowledge of EU drivers hours and an understanding of Working Time Directive rules for Mobile Workers (Training to gain these qualifications may be available for suitable candidates)
