The Lettings Hub are a prop-tech company who provide technology driven products and services to manage lettings. We work with a national network of letting agents and provide a range of services to help our clients with the move-in process. This includes completing the necessary checks on potential tenants before they move into a landlord’s property, as well as a range of additional property insurance products and services to support the letting agent, tenant and the landlord.
You will be the hands-on technical lead for all initiatives focused on agent acquisition and retention. This includes improving onboarding flows, strengthening retention journeys and enabling scalable growth. You will write production code daily and be responsible for architecture, code quality and delivery across a small squad of two to five engineers. You will also play a key role in modernising our underlying technology stack, embedding engineering best practice and leading the adoption of AI-assisted development tools within the squad.
- Take a hands-on role in designing, building and delivering full stack features using TypeScript, React and C#.
- Own the technical strategy and roadmap for agent acquisition and retention.
- Lead, support and develop a small engineering squad, setting high standards for quality, delivery and technical discipline.
- Drive modernisation of core systems, contributing architectural leadership grounded in real-world coding experience.
- Lead the adoption and safe use of AI engineering tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to improve delivery speed and developer experience across your squad.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to shape requirements, validate outcomes and maintain alignment between product and engineering.
- Collaborate collegiately with Commercial, Support, Data and Compliance teams.
- Maintain high standards in reliability, performance, observability and security.
- Review code, guide architectural decisions and ensure long-term maintainability.
- Support incident response, root cause analysis and remediation.
A Day With The Team Could Include:
- Improving the speed and reliability of the tenant referencing pipeline to support higher agent acquisition and conversion.
- Integrating with leading PropTech CRMs such as ReapIT and Street to strengthen distribution and onboarding.
- Ensuring our platform remains compliant with new regulation, including the Renter Reform Act.
- Pairing with engineers to solve technical challenges and push delivery forward.
- Working hand in hand with the Product Manager to deliver measurable outcomes.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong full stack engineering capability with experience across TypeScript, React and C# or .NET.
- T-shaped engineer with depth in at least one area and broad competence across others.
- Proven hands-on technical leadership, including mentoring and guiding small teams.
- Demonstrated ability to own complex technical decisions and deliver end-to-end features.
- Strong understanding of modern architecture, APIs, event-driven systems and CI/CD.
- Positive, proactive use of AI tools in engineering.
- Confident communicator able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with SaaS, PropTech or marketplace environments.
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud-native development.
- Experience improving acquisition funnels, onboarding or CRM/marketing integrations.

- At least 25 per cent of new organic agent acquisition delivered through integrations with third party CRMs such as Reapit and Street.
- Faster, more reliable tenant referencing that materially improves agent conversion.
- Clear technical ownership supported by well-architected, modern and scalable systems.
- A motivated, high-performing squad making strong and safe use of AI engineering tools.
- Visible progress in modernising the technology stack and improving developer experience.
