The Letting Partnership is a specialist in client accounting, trusted by letting agents across the UK to keep their business compliant and their client money secure. We work closely with HMRC, National Trading Standards and Client Money Protection and Tenancy Deposit Protection schemes to raise standards in our industry.
As we continue to expand, we are launching an Accountant’s Report offering to complement our existing suite of audits, exploring the rollout of digital tax reporting (MTD) services for landlords, and developing bookkeeping and year-end services tailored for letting agents using our well established nationwide outsourced client accounting service. These initiatives represent a key step towards our ambition to become the single-source solution for compliance and financial management within the lettings sector.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious, forward-thinking accountant who’s motivated by the challenge of taking ownership of something new. You’ll build pricing and process frameworks, design service delivery models, and shape how compliance and financial reporting are delivered across the industry, fully supported by a collaborative team and modern, efficient systems.
Responsibilities- Drive the Accountant’s Report process in collaboration with our operational team, from pricing to delivery.
- Prepare and sign off reports for CMP providers (Propertymark, Client Money Protect, Safeagent, UKALA, Money Shield).
- Lead the design and roll out new bookkeeping and year-end financial reporting services for TLP’s existing clients, ensuring commercial viability and scalability.
- Price and position new service lines, working with senior leadership to identify market opportunities and align them with TLP’s strategic goals.
- Lead the design and rollout of TLP's landlord Making Tax Digital (MTD) service, using our client accounting data to deliver seamless digital compliance.
- Work with our global development teams to modernise delivery and automate processes where possible.
- Play a key role in shaping our industry-wide audit and compliance solutions, setting the benchmark for how client money audit is delivered across the lettings market.
- Conduct remote audits via secure online submissions and meetings - no site visits required.
- Advise clients on improving financial controls, compliance and operational efficiency.
- ACA or ACCA qualification with a valid practising certificate (or ability to obtain one).
- Confidence working independently and engaging directly with clients.
- A commercially minded, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to turn opportunity into structured, profitable services.
- Up to date with accounting, audit and compliance developments, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) and emerging digital reporting standards.
- The credibility to influence at a professional level.
- A progressive mindset and the ambition to help shape standards in the letting industry.
