The Role
This role is offered on a maternity cover basis, to commence as soon as possible and for a period of approximately 9 months. Working as part of our Meeting & Events Sales team, you will manage event enquiries and bookings, with a focus on Elite Sports and Meeting & Events, ensuring a prompt and professional response and creating a personal experience for each client. Your outstanding attention to detail will set the standard for a successful event every time. This is a varied role with responsibility for all aspects from initial enquiry to the handover for the Events Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to all enquiries and booking requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring proposals are tailored to the clients bespoke requests
- Arrange and carry out show rounds with prospective clients
- Ensure the administration and execution of all planned events and compile the information onto the Function Sheet
- Keep in close contact with organisers, clients and our internal operational teams, to ensure the details of all events are communicated from initial enquiry through to delivery on the day of the event
- Work with the Diary Manager to maintain effective management of the diary, ensuring bookings are confirmed in good time with deadlines in place.
- Work closely with the Resort Revenue Director on pricing for bedrooms associated with events and with the Reservations Manager in coordinating rooming lists and bedroom allocations, ensuring revenue opportunities are always maximised
- Participate in promotional activities and events as required.
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:
- Previous Event sales/planning/booking experience required, preferably within M&E and sports events
- Experience using RFP platforms preferred
- A passion for sales and events, confidence in their ability to convert enquiries and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of current market trends
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a friendly, warm, genuine and approachable manner
- Able to remain calm and deliver high standards under pressure
- Good computer literacy, candidates should possess good Microsoft office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Opera Cloud
- Great organisational skills and use of initiative and confidence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full flexibility including weekends
