Part of Iconic Hotels and Resorts, The Lensbury is located on the banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 155‑bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds. The Role

Working alongside highly skilled professional chefs, you will be assisting in the food preparation process, cooking, and preparing elements of high‑quality dishes.

This position is for early shifts from 5:30am – 2:00pm, any 5 out of 7 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of menu dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
  • Keeping the sections clean
  • Recording cooking temperatures in Shield Safety
  • Assisting other chefs as requested
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Assisting with stock rotation
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
  • Ensuring safe use of all equipment; promptly reporting any faulty equipment to the Head Chef
  • Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety

The Candidate

  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Interest and experience in food preparation
  • Keenness to develop your skills and knowledge and grow within the team
  • Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good standard of spoken & written English
