Role Overview
The Community Activator Coach Apprentice, based at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, will co‑coach fun, inclusive and engaging activities designed to help inactive individuals adopt a more active lifestyle. The role focuses on children from low‑income families, people with disabilities or long‑term medical conditions, and older people.
Key Responsibilities
- The apprentice will lead and coach activities.
- Work towards a Level 2 Community Activator apprenticeship over 14 months.
- Attend additional training such as First Aid at Work, Level 2 Community Sports Leaders, Chair‑Based Exercise, Walks Leader and sport‑specific coaching qualifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A passion for a range of sports, exercise and fitness.
- Good communication and customer care skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to use own initiative.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
