Leigh Academy Rainham is seeking an Inclusion Officer to join our committed inclusion team. In this role, you will supervise and support students in our Academy Reset and Inclusion Rooms, providing a calm, structured environment for those who may face behavioural challenges through their academy day. You will offer guidance, consistency and tailored interventions to key vulnerable students, helping them to refocus, regulate and make positive choices. Your work will play a vital part in enabling students to be successful, maintain engagement with learning, and achieve academic progress. As our Inclusion Officer, you will:
- Supervise and lead the Academy Reset Room, ensuring routines that promote focused, disruption-free learning.
- Support vulnerable students who may experience behavioural or emotional challenges, providing guidance and strategies to help them reset and re‑engage.
- Deliver tailored interventions within the inclusion setting to promote positive behaviour, self‑regulation and personal growth.
- Build strong relationships with students, families and staff to encourage inclusion over exclusion and maintain high expectations.
- Contribute to a calm, consistent environment where students feel supported, respected and able to make progress.

- This is a permanent opportunity offering an actual salary of £26,769 (£27,747 full‑time equivalent), working 41.5 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week. The working hours are 8:00am-5:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8:00am-4:00pm on Wednesdays.
