We are looking for a Senior Data and Insights Manager who will take have an opportunity to develop a robust solution all things data within Bricklink. Working closely with the DCE Business Insights team this role will be pivotal in building this capability.

You will be tasked with ensuring that we are laser sharp on our day-to-day trading, build forecasting, impact capabilities, and own the way in harvesting the creativity of our community and bringing this to life in the LEGO Group. The role will work closely with the DCE Data, Analytics & Enabling team where you will share a focus on establishing two-way, long lasting and meaningful relationships with our consumers and shoppers, we believe that the ethical, transparent, and effective use of consumer data is key to this ambition.

You will be working at the core of our digital product teams, building our data analytics infrastructure and providing analysis & recommendations to continually improve experiences. For this role we are seeking a highly entrepreneurial senior analytics specialist who is comfortable working in a matrixed and cross-functional organisation. Being able to influence multiple product teams and partners will be key, as will the ability to balance detailed hands-on analysis with generating unexpected insights and creating compelling narratives designed to inspire action in the business.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Define the needs for dashboards and self-serve reporting capabilities for different user groups in the company, and own the development of a suite of reports that are tailored to the unique data & insight needs of each group (via PowerBI and/or similar data visualisation tools).
  • Work with a cross-functional data & analytics team to create well structured, easily accessible data sources that can be used for downstream reporting and analysis (via SQL and Python or R, working on Databricks).
  • Carry out ad-hoc analysis on digital product performance, user journey analysis, and marketing / content effectiveness, to help our business understand which touchpoints and tactics are driving the greatest value for the business (and why).
  • Turn raw data into significant insights and recommendations, and act as a “data storyteller” to bring actionable analysis to senior leadership.
  • Play a leading role in a cross-functional data, analytics and insights network across the LEGO Group, ensuring alignment around core metrics and collaborating with others to develop standard process and shared learnings on the drivers of effective consumer engagement.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent within the fields of Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Data Management, or similar.
  • Formal training in software development, product management, agile, or digital analytics is an asset.
  • 3 to 4 years of experiences with business insights in a marketing or product development context, including games or other digital products – Must have a proven track record of driving business actions based on the analysis of consumer behaviour data.
  • Hands-on experience turning raw, unstructured data into important insights and recommendations, and comfort using a variety of analytics tools and methodologies – Experience creating relevant data visualization and communicating this with senior business partners.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Analytics and/or Snowplow, and the implementation of tracking variables across both known and unknown / anonymous device IDs.
  • Experience performing analysis on large data sets in a Big Data platform (i.e. Databricks or a similar platform).
  • Comfort with SQL and PowerBI is a must, and ideally one of Python or R (We are comfortable with candidates who need to improve their skills in these areas, but this role will require a hands-on technical specialist who is comfortable continually developing and upgrading their skills in these areas).
  • Proven project management skills, with experience delivering difficult and sophisticated projects involving multiple teams – We’re looking for a lynchpin who isn’t afraid to get things done even when they don’t have formal authority over everyone who needs to be involved to make it work, and is able to build collaborative working relationships across organisational boundaries.
  • A structured quick learner and a natural of curiosity to look for the “so what” behind trends identified in data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and engaging stakeholders including the development of business cases / investment models for internal buy-in.
  • Native level fluency in English, written and spoken.

The salary for this position has a range of 120,490.00 - 180,734.00 annual based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
