Core Responsibilities
- Planning and reporting on our audience and category ambitions and performance, informing our LEGO Retail Category Strategy to optimize and support our growth journey.
- Collaborate within a wider team of LEGO Retail Category Managers, engaging with other key marketing and functional experts to develop robust plans.
- Responsible for in-depth category and shopper understanding and insights at a micro and macro level.
- Analyse category/segment performance using customer, consumer, shopper and macro environment data and a variety of relevant data sources from throughout the business.
- Contribute to maximising the value and impact through our Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP), category investments to support long-term brand building and short-term revenues.
- Drive market research, monitor competitive activity and analyse data, to identify and better serve shopper (parent, gift-giver, member) and audience needs.
- Be a reliable partner for product portfolio strategic choices, developing recommendations including on our optimal pricing, placement, and product mix.

LEGO Retail Marketing plays a critical role in developing and implementing hyper-relevant retail shopper campaigns and experiences to build the pinnacle LEGO Brand experience across our Branded Sales Channels. It is a global, brand-led, creativity and innovation powerhouse which brings to life the LEGO Group mission to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow! The Category Management & Promotions team is at the heart of ensuring we have an ever-stronger shopper-value proposition across all LEGO product categories, fuelling the success of our global, omni-channel, direct-to-consumer LEGO Retail business. This pivotal role shapes our product and marketing plans to drive inspiration, discoverability and conversion in LEGO Retail, driving Active Base of our shoppers and consumers. You will collaborate across multiple teams in LEGO Retail as well as our Product and Marketing Development teams to drive brand impact, revenue, and profitability, delivering the LEGO Group’s ultimate experience.
Do you have what it takes?
- Advanced analytical skills with a data-first and solution-orientated way of working.
- Comfortable building models through MS Excel, sourcing relevant data points and insights to improve planning assumptions.
- Relevant professional experience in category management, business insights, planning or relevant consulting/business development roles is desirable.
- A strong understanding of consumer needs and the retail environment, including a commercial approach and awareness of marketing and sales principles.
- Effective influencer and natural collaborator.
- Comfortable presenter with the ability to tell a compelling story through rigorous data and insights.
- Proven track record working in a global business with strong multi-cultural teams, fostering positive relationships, team spirit and culture.
