We are seeking a Blockchain Solutions Architect to design and oversee the implementation of decentralized infrastructure for legal technology applications. You will translate legal and compliance requirements into scalable blockchain architectures, guide technical teams on best practices, and ensure our solutions meet security, regulatory and performance standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end blockchain architectures for legal workflows, including smart contract systems, identity management and document verification.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms and layer-2 solutions based on use case requirements.
- Collaborate with legal experts, compliance officers and engineers to embed regulatory requirements into technical design.
- Lead technical due diligence for third-party blockchain integrations and vendor assessments.
- Document architecture decisions, create reference implementations and mentor engineering teams on blockchain patterns.
- Support pre-sales and client engagements by presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Required skills:
- Proven experience designing blockchain-based systems in production environments (Ethereum, Polygon, Hyperledger or similar).
- Deep understanding of smart contract security, cryptographic primitives, wallet infrastructure and decentralized identity standards.
- Familiarity with UK and EU regulatory frameworks relevant to blockchain, including data protection, e-signatures and digital asset rules.
- Strong system design skills with ability to balance decentralisation, scalability and compliance trade-offs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge technical and legal domains.
- Eligibility to work in the UK or ability to obtain relevant visa sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in legal tech, regtech or enterprise blockchain deployments.
- Knowledge of zero-knowledge proofs, confidential transactions or privacy-preserving architectures.
- Professional certifications in enterprise architecture, information security or blockchain development.
