Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust’s Estate Department requires an Electrical Technician based at St James University Hospital. You will be part of the team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive electrical maintenance and installation, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.
Applicants will hold a BTEC HNC / HND / NVQ Level III / City & Guilds 2360 / 2391 / 2395 or equivalent qualification, must have a recognized apprenticeship in electrical installations, and must be able to inspect, test, and certify installations. Previous experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or engineering is essential, preferably in a healthcare or hospital maintenance environment.
Applicants must demonstrate flexibility and initiative when dealing with a wide range of engineering services and will have experience maintaining equipment as part of a planned preventative maintenance system. The successful candidate will be required to undertake maintenance and repairs on electrical installations and various other systems, equipment, and services. Candidates will have good communication skills to work with various levels of staff across the Trust and be expected to carry out all duties in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
