You will be able to eventually run the store with your eyes closed and who knows, one day you may even get your own store to run!

HatHats Coffee Company Assistant Managers are employed to assist the Outlet Manager, take the lead on the day-to-day operations of the outlet, and motivate our staff to provide award-winning excellent customer service. Responsibilities include:
- Opening and closing the outlet
- Managing the staff on shift
- Ensuring that the outlet runs effectively
- Completing any tasks assigned by the Outlet Manager
In addition to leading the day-to-day management of the site, an Assistant Manager will be responsible for taking ownership of the monthly stock takes, and reporting discrepancies to the Outlet Manager for reconciling with the outlet budget. They will be the person that is responsible for the business when the Outlet Manager is off site or not on duty and will have authority to make decisions as required in the Outlet Manager's absence.
To be successful in this role you will have had extensive customer service experience as well as amazing interpersonal skills. You should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement, and turn our spaces into ‘go to’ destinations in their locality and build repeat trade.

Qualifications/Experience required:
- Confident with a basic Maths and English qualification
- Any experience in the hospitality sector is a bonus but not essential
- Experience leading a team is preferable

Responsibilities:
- Lead on the day-to-day operations of the space ensuring it is open to agreed opening hours, working closely with the Outlet Manager to make operating the space as smooth as possible
- Assist with onboarding new staff with direction from the Outlet Manager
- Carry out Front of House duties, leading by example, and adhering to Health and Safety standards
- Ensure that all staff are producing drinks and food to the standards of the business
- Attend fortnightly site management meetings on teams
- Ensure all reporting during your shift is completed accurately
- Cash up at the end of the day
- Ensure open and close routines and statutory reports for EHO are up to date
- Mentor and support all staff in the daily running of the outlet, and actively encourage career progression
- Take the lead for the cleanliness of venue
- Own the weekly stock take and ensure report is logged with the Outlet Manager
- Take the lead on outlet customer experience
- Sharing on call duties with Outlet Manager
Further Information:
Hours: 30-37.5 Predominantly based at our Hangloose Outlet. Training may need to take place in East Kent. As an Assistant Manager, you would be working shifts of which could fall on any day of the week. Our Summer opening hours are between 07:30 and 19:30, with weekends and school holidays being our busiest times. This role requires you to be available to have shifts scheduled Monday - Sunday, including during school term-time. Please confirm that you would be able to commit to this.
