NETbuilder is a leading provider of digital solutions, software, consulting, and managed services. Since 1999, we’ve delivered end-to-end solutions helping organizations innovate and grow. We are looking for a motivated .NET Developer with at least 2 years of commercial experience to join our Access Security team based in the Norwich area.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software delivery lifecycle, supporting both ongoing system enhancements and day-to-day operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET versions (currently .NET 10), along with core frontend and database knowledge. This is a 12-month FTC with strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and analyse requirements to design and deliver secure, high-quality technical solutions.
- Develop, test, and implement applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET frameworks.
- Produce clear technical specifications aligned with security, performance, and architectural standards.
- Ensure all work adheres to agreed processes, governance, and development best practices.
- Carry out database administration tasks as required.
- Work with SQL Server (preferred but not essential) to support system functionality and performance.
- Ensure compliance with data, performance, and availability controls.
- Contribute to robust governance and quality assurance throughout the SDLC.
- Deliver solutions aligned with customer requirements and strict security standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system performance, and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Promote innovation across tools, technologies, and approaches to maximise business value.
- Work on a variety of initiatives, from small enhancements to larger internal projects, through the full SDLC.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and fixes to ensure seamless service operation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a .NET Developer
- Strong working knowledge of: C#, ASP.NET Core, Modern .NET versions (currently using .NET 10)
- Front-end understanding: HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- SQL experience (SQL Server preferred but not essential)
- Solid understanding of secure development practices
- Ability to work across the software delivery lifecycle
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Location: Remote with occasional travel
- Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) with potential to extend
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
