This position involves providing hands on technical assistance to users in Colchester and other group locations when required. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Deliver onsite technical assistance to users across multiple locations, ensuring a high standard of service at all times
  • Manage incidents and service requests, maintaining accurate and timely updates
  • Ensure agreed service levels and performance targets are consistently achieved
  • Escalate complex or time sensitive issues to the appropriate technical teams when required
  • Carry out technical installations, deployments, and fulfilment of service requests, both onsite and remotely where appropriate
  • Provide guidance and informal mentoring to less experienced engineers
  • Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, or services and share recommendations with leadership
  • Support other technical or project teams when operational demand requires

  • Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, identity, and user administration
  • Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, and secure connectivity
  • Exposure to server infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, and security technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and private cloud environments
