Your Duties

We invite a friendly, spirited individual to join our Leatherhead Nursery as a Lunchtime Assistant. In this pivotal role, you'll cover the hours between approximately 11am and 3pm. Your role involves delivering exceptional care that supports each child's development and individual needs. With a flexible approach, you'll fulfill lunchtime responsibilities and provide vital support to local nurseries. By creating enriching environments filled with engaging activities, you'll foster indoor and outdoor growth. Guided by British Values embedded in Core Advantage, LEAP, and Early Years Foundation Stage learning, you'll ensure a holistic education experience. Safety remains paramount, as you'll adhere to child protection and health and safety policies, safeguarding children's well‑being.

What We Ideally Require From You

  • Experience in early years education settings with 'Good' or 'Outstanding' inspection outcomes.
  • Level 2 or Above Qualification in Early Years.
  • Successful collaboration within nursery teams and effective communication.
  • Record of ongoing training and professional qualifications.
  • Proficiency in hygiene standards, room preparation, and decision‑making.
  • Experience in food preparation and relevant food management training.
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Motivated and deadline‑driven, particularly in children's record‑keeping and assessment.
